Pema Chodron's commentary on Shantideva's Way of the Bodhisattva
The Minneapolis Shambhala Center has hosted a Wednesday night book class for years. Bob Brown initiated this and facilitated it for many moons. Lots of folks have made a strong connection to practice and study through the vehicle of this class.
Erik Blagsvedt is the current facilitator/coordinator.

Pema Chodron is a leading exponent of teachings on meditation and how they apply to everyday life. She is widely known for her charming and down-to-earth interpretation of Tibetan Buddhism for Western audiences.

Pema studied under the meditation master Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and currently studies with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche.
Pema is the resident teacher at Gampo Abbey, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, the first Tibetan
monastery for Westerners founded by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche.
